Susan G. Komen - Chattanooga Affiliate

Susan G. Komen is the only organization addressing breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease. We all KNOW someone, LOVE someone, or ARE someone who will battle breast cancer. Support us! Metastatic breast cancer (MBC) is breast cancer that has spread beyond the breast to other organs in the body, also known as Stage IV. MBC is treatable, but currently not curable. It causes nearly all of the more than 40,000 breast cancer deaths each year in the United States. Komen is dedicated to finding the cures. Our research investment to date is more than $166 million in over 400 research grants and more than 40 clinical trials focused on metastatic breast cancer.

United Way of Greater Chattanooga

Since 1922, United Way of Greater Chattanooga has fought to make sure every person in the community is educated, stable, and supported. We win that fight by Living United; by forging unlikely partnerships, by finding new solutions to old problems, and by mobilizing the best resources. We ignite social change through a powerful network of partners, donors and volunteers who share a common passion: making our community a better place for all. In support of our mission to unite people and resources to build a stronger and healthier community last year we mobilized more than 10,000 volunteers and 19,000 donors at 323 companies to give nearly $11 million and invested in 88 programs that impacted the lives of nearly 140,000 people.
